October 22 Meeting Minutes

Camp Lejeune Parent Board Meeting – October 22, 2024

Present: Lisa Miller, Michele Perrow, Laren Rice, Tammy Rudd, Jeff Cooke and Dan Sooy

 

1.       Call to Order-548pm 

2.       Financial Report

a.       Account Balance

b.       Transfer of Treasurer position- Dan Sooy was voted in unanimously

c.       Jay and Aundi- will send the amount on the 20^th of every month to Dan

3.       Board Positions

a.       President- Samantha Callahan

b.       Vice President – Jeff Cooke

c.       Secretary – Bianca Sullivan

d.       Treasurer – Lisa Miller

                                                                           i.      Fin- a-thon Total raised $8,419.50

                                         Oct. 1- $101-received

                                          Nov. 8- $8,158.50- to be disbursed 

            $10/ disbursing fee taken out by Pledge

                                                                         ii.      Vote for Dan Sooy to assume the Treasurer position- Samantha made the motion to vote Dan into treasurer and it was a unanimous vote. 

                                                                        iii.      Lauren Rice was voted in as a member at large. There was a unanimous vote.

4.       New business

a.       Request for a grant to pay the USA Swimming registration for a current senior swimmer-unanimous vote.

b.       Request to reimburse Tiffany for fin-a-thon prizes- $600- vote unanimous

c.       Creation of a grant account to help pay for swim meet fees-

                                           d.    Discuss amount to keep in CCA account and amount to disburse to CLST account

                         e.    Samantha will discuss with Jay and Aundi and report back 

                                                                        iii.      Keep a monthly tab on how it will go to be sure that we are doing what is best  

5.       Open discussion

a.       Glow swim- need parents to come in early to set up and glow sticks

b.       Banquet Committee- Michele and Lauren – May 3^rd

c.       Swim Team Photos- happen earlier in the season

6.       Upcoming events

a.       Oct 29 - Glow swim –during assigned team practices

b.       Nov 2-3 - Aquaventure swim meet – Winterville, NC

c.       Nov 1-20 – Gift Basket collection

                                                                           i.      For range control/ pool managers

d.       Nov 9 – Lifeguard training

e.       Nov 16 – Community Service-gold team and above to deliver thanksgiving meals to families, Tiffany will give details soon

f.        Nov 23- Friendsgiving – bring a friend day & bring 5 canned foods

                                                                           i.      Top team to win a hot chocolate party Dec 5, for most food donated

g.       Dec 9-13 – Parent Observation

h.       Dec 23- Holiday Party/ Midnight Madness
